Installation Note (Technical Reference)
When installing a new cylinder head on a Kubota V1702 engine, it is critical to check piston protrusion (top clearance) to select the correct head gasket thickness. Factory specification for top clearance is 0.7-0.9 mm (0.0276-0.0354 in).

Cylinder head surface flatness must not exceed 0.05 mm (0.0020 in). Valve clearance for both intake and exhaust should be set to 0.18-0.22 mm (0.0071-0.0087 in) with the engine cold.

Always replace head bolts and use a new gasket for optimal results. Professional installation is recommended due to the precision required for alignment, torque specifications, and sealing to prevent leaks or damage.
